college, like any other interactive community is what you make of it. It will range from what you've seen in B movies, to a serious pursuit of academic excellence. You are the one who ultimately decides what you will get and give. That is the bottom line.
Having said that, college is both fun and frustration....you make a lot of new friends, one of whom you may take home to meet mom....a few professors who don't give a d--- about you or educating you and other people who are taking that chance to make a difference in their lives and the lives of other people.
