I'm having a friendly disagreement with my English tutor. I've always been under the assumption that something is an historical event and he says it is a historical event. This sets my teeth on edge. Who is correct?

I am known to doze off. It starts by yawning, then tears fall down my cheeks. Finally my nose starts to water as well...(all in five minutes).

I've heard that pharmacies sometimes allow teenagers to help out. This is something I'm interested in and I'd like to know how I could get into something like this. What sort of training do they receive? Do they get paid? Etc...

I don't have any special training or anything; I'm 17, I have my GED and I'm just trying to get myself back on track. ^o^

I usually press the specific key with whatever finger im comfortable with. Also I would feel kinda cramped just being stationary all the time. Just looking at someones hands when they type, I understand why they have carpal tunnel.

Anyways, i'm an adult, but I feel that if I use something Mavis Beacon, I wouldn't have fun learning how to type. Is there any other programs out their that are fun, thorough, but not childish?

Lastly why is it that the "proper" way of typing still results in carpal tunnel. Does it only inflict women or people with dainty hands? Does to happen to everyone regardless? Is there a safe "speed limit (wpm)" that would prevent carpal tunnel from developing? Do ergonomics keyboards really work, and should I just start my learning using them?

I'm a college student, my major is Biochemistry but I also enjoy Fashion. When I first started college I wanted to major in Fashion Design and Marketing, but instead I chose my other passion: Medicine. Actually, first my major was Computer Science, now I'm working towards a career as a pharmacist (therefore Biochemistry). I really want to be a pharmacist but I also really want to own a clothing store someday where I will sell my own designs along with other clothing lines/brands. I could have double majored but like I said, when I started college my major was Computer Science (for two yrs) then in my third year I decided to change major (Biochemistry). I could do it now but it will take me longer to transfer to a 4 year university. I have already wasted two years in community college (when I was a Computer Science major) and I really want to get out of there and transfer as soon as possible. So, my question is the following...

When I was a cub/scout I was told that when 2 armies made peace the leaders shook hands with their left hand, htus leaving your right (sword) hand availiable. This was a sign of trust (as the other person could stab you at any point).

I have never heard this said since, was it something my scout troop made up or is it real?
