1. Relax- the more nervous you are the more likely you are to forget key information so sit back and be calm and cool

2. Study at a reasonable pace- this means do not cram information at the last possible minute but review it in your head especially if you must know formulas , dates or other information (list of facts)

3. Arrive at the test site at least 10 minutes ahead of time if you are able--do not rush yourself at the last minute to get there because this will more than likely increase your nervousness and problems could develop, the 10 minutes can be used productively by being calm , quiet and reviewing in your mind what you need to know in particular for the test you are about to take

4. reward yourself if you have studied to the best of your ability by taking a piece of candy and placing it under your tongue and let the sugar enter your bloodstream which will give you a booster shot to the brain which in fact needs sugar to survive

5. get a good night sleep the day before you take the exam-- it has been proven scientifically that if your brain is tired and did not receive sufficient rest it tends to forget things and has trouble recalling. Your brain is like any other part of the body because it needs rest too

6. Lastly do not be afraid to ask questions of your teacher that are reasonable and pertinent for the exam but do not compromise the situation or try to be deceptive in looking for the answers only. It is more important that you know how to get the answer than the answer itself. It is like the saying to give someone a fish thay eat for a day. Teach someone how to fish thay can eat for a lifetime.
