I've used MLA for English and Art History courses, and APA for Psychology courses... but what about a Sociology course? Should I use the MLA or the APA style format for a term paper? I know I should just ask the instructor, but I don't have his e-mail address and I want to get started on this soon. Thanks.

ok, im in the 10th grade, and I want to take AP english, my grade in english is an A. At my school, you need to get teacher initials for recommendation to any AP class, when I asked my english teacher which AP class I should take, she said american lit(regular english). English has always been my best subject and I really want to take AP. Should I take the english AP exam and if I pass do the class anyways ?

And what should I say if I pass the AP test and the counselor tries to say that I didnt get a teacher recommendation ?

When you cite the Declaration of Independence, do you put it in quotes? I know that you do not underline it, and the MLA does not accept italicizing.

I ran into a teacher I had about a year ago at the mall, and we began talking a little while I was waiting for my friends to meet me. After a while, the topic of school was brought up and she asked me if I knew how she graded papers. I said no and she told me:

"I threw all the papers up in the air, and if a sheet landed on the left it would get an A, if it landed on the right it would get a B, and if it landed in the middle it would get a F."

My question is, does that grading system seem fair to you?

I have a project where I need to find a
1) French speaking country in Africa (I chose the Ivory coast)
2) A female name that is both French and African
3) A French-speaking city in the country you chose. Since I chose Ivory Coast I need a French-speaking city in the Ivory coast... or as they say "La Côte D'Ivoire"
