I've used MLA for English and Art History courses, and APA for Psychology courses... but what about a Sociology course? Should I use the MLA or the APA style format for a term paper? I know I should just ask the instructor, but I don't have his e-mail address and I want to get started on this soon. Thanks.

If your professor did not specify any style, then you should be able to use any style you want since I do not think your professor will grade you on the style as long as you properly site your sources. However, if it was up to me for Sociology, I would go with APA.

I've been told that the sciences, that includes Sociology, use APA. Double check, but that is most likely what you need.

It depends on the professor, most Soc. profs like APA, but occasionally you'll get one that would rather MLA.
