1) Something you have accomplished and can enjoy seeing when you have finished.
2) Past time to get away from everything for awhile so you can relax.
3) Maybe a side hobby for a little extra money or to give as a lovely gift. (Hand made gifts are
meaningful and thoughtful)

that reminds me of childhood! i used to do it with my mother and it was fun.
1. it's soothing - the repetitive action.
2. a good way to occupy time if you're bored.
3. you have a beautiful work to show for it once it's done!
4. a good bonding experience with your parent or friend (if you're learning it from someone).

For me first of all this is my pastime to do my cross-stitch,then I want to share my family and relatives of my creativity and appreciated and lastly this is good a relax and to relieve of our stress.
