In some areas possession, let alone use is illegal (although use carries the heavier fine).

It also depends on the "Fire State" if the entire area is tinder dry with no hope of rain...use of a Fire Work could see you hit with attempted arson charges.

Some Texas deputy sherrifs were confiscating the fireworks before they were brought into some of the towns last year. You need to find out where the designated areas are to shoot them off before doing so. Also watch the news today because they are telling people where and what to do concerning fireworks.
