On September 11, 2001?

That was the day I went back to work from maternity leave with my daughter... What a welcome back to work. I worked in a nursing home and we had to go into lock down and do our disaster preparedness procedures, needless to say my first day back was hectic! The residents were scared because they knew we were doing the disaster procedures, but could not understand why..

Coming from all the bad, past relationships i've had, I'm scared of opening myself up to men. I've met a guy and really like him, but shy away from telling him everything that's on my mind. I'm fine when chatting with him online, but when it comes to doing it in person i clam up. And he always makes comments about me being quiet and I don't want to ruin anything because of that. Any ideas on how to get over this phobia??

He is, ofcourse, in good hands (family) but I am wondering what he will be thinking that I will no longer be there ALL DAY LONG. Will be feel scard? Abandoned? Sad? I am so worried to lose that bond!!!

It is the fear of failure that "usually" hinders us from achieving our goals in life! We must learn to overcome our fears because there will always be obstacles. There is no progess without opposition.

"Let’s use Moore’s methodology, and ignore members of extended families (such as nephews) and also ignore service anywhere except Iraq (even though U.S. forces are currently fighting terrorists in many countries). And like Moore, let us also ignore the fact that some families (like Rep. Castle’s) have no children, or no children of military age.

We then see that of 535 Congressional families, there are two with a child who served in Iraq. How does this compare with American families in general? In the summer of 2003, U.S. troop levels in Iraq were raised to 145,000. If we factor in troop rotation, we could estimate that about 300,000 people have served in Iraq at some point. According to the Census Bureau, there were 104,705,000 households in the United States in 2000. (See Table 1 of the Census Report.) So the ratio of ordinary U.S. households to Iraqi service personnel is 104,705,000 to 300,000. This reduces to a ratio of 349:1."

Your quote...

"Faith and religion brings peace and comfort to those that are in pain, trouble, or plagued with fear."

Does this apply to all religions or only a select few?
How does the above apply to Islamic extremists?
Can you draw me a picture of how the above comforts a child who is told he might go to Hell if he does wrong in a Christian church?
In your opinion can religion be replaced with something else to bring peace or comfort to people?
How does religion help the fear of the millions of poor people living in the slums of South America...or those who are infected by Aids in Africa? Does religion provide false hope?
Dont get me wrong...Im all about learning new things, but I seriously find flaw with your caption above....religion "creates" fear and loathing....it creates borders that in turn creates animosity between nations...and people.
