A. you do not have safety glazed windshields and/or if you have a crack in your windshield.

B. your headlights and / or tail lights are not functional.

C. both of the above.

That also depends upon grandfather clauses and use of the vehicle. A farm vehicle that stays on the farm usually doesn't go very fast and is only in an accident with slow moving or stationary object on the farm...unless there is an angry bull in the area. Very old vehicles do not need to be updated by law. However, such vehicles cannot be driven at night. Using hand signals is still legal. Be warned though. If your vehicle does not fit the grandfather description, then they have to work on the open road.

Absolutely. These are required by the federal government during manufacturing. Also, no insurance company will knowingly insure a vehicle with either of those conditions, and if they find out after the fact, they can drop you for violations of your agreement or raise your rates and even retroactively charge you to when the policy started.

Generally speaking, you can say the answer is all 3...
Traffic violations are State & County not Federal Mandates...
So... while one answer may apply to your State or region...
