The ones that due is probably due to the neighbourhood or society they have grown up in . The world is far much more than the states or american society base

I really like this question. I have been thinking the same thing and you asked it so well. You also got some very good answers. It's refreshing to know that we have people of all colors that are color blind.

There are many people on here and in the world and not everyone is going to believe in the same things you do. Try not to worry about what others think- if you are happy with yourself and your partner, that is all that matters...

For Sheeny: I really hate it when people say that! It was no different growing up for me than it was for any other child. My friends didn't look at me as being mixed and neither did those I didn't like- it mostly was based on personality- not race. Maybe you can enlighten me as to why being a product of an inter-racial couple is supposed to be so damn hard.

Has anybody called you a nitpicker yet? It must be that because America deals with Racial issues by banding together to stop the offspring, other countries just kill them. Notabiy VietNam, Hawaiian, and China. The Chosen Ostricised the whole family and made them feel as if their love caused crops to fail and other tragedies. So a little disapproval in the states should not be worried at. Get over it.

People are against because they are ignorant and would rather concentrate on someone else's 'perceived' sins than look at their own. I'm in an inter-racial relationship and have actually never experienced disrespect for this. And why Sheeny do you say you feel sorry for the children, what have you got to feel sorry for them about?

Because they are afraid to accept the fact that love knows no limits, even racial ones. People just like to make a fuss about anything that's out of the norm and perfectly natural.

It's so much easier to look at others than to look at yourself. So a lot of people spend time trying to figure out who is marrying who (gay marriage, mixed marriage) instead of worrying about their own turmoil ridden lives.

Be sad for them. It's an ignorance that is hard to overcome.

Thanks for broaching the subject.

People are very closed minded. But if you ask a lot of people to tell you what they are you hear a lot of people say "Oh, I'm Irish, German and Native American" Many peoples very being is based on a previous interracial relationship!

Oh, those are just those delusional people who actually believe that they are purely *insert race/color here* which we of course know that, in this day and age, is impossible.
I don't worry my head about bigots. Limiting oneself to dating only a certain race, really cuts down on one's options. And I am all about options.

They may be racist....Or facinated, because they have never seen it before....They may also worry that other people will make fun of them.....Assumeing it's a parent against it....There are alot of reasons...They may have been taught against it....

Who cares? As long as they're not breaking into my home, breaking other laws or being otherwise irresponsible, it's none of my business.
