i am a military police officer in Iraq i would like to know how many ppl actually support this worthless war?

the only reason i decided to do this is i wanted ppl to get useful answers i saw a posting asking about buying a weapon and i was fairly disturbed by the answers given by ppl who are obviously very ignorant and uneducated when it comes to gun laws like this joke SHAUN 1986 this guy is a joke he says "it is illegal buy buy a weapon from neone besides a gun dealer shaun before you open your cokholster try to think just a minute before you give someone else some very advice that is very well stupid only certain states and cities require weapon registration person to person sale is not illegal as a matter of fact person to person sale is very popular through gunshows and classifieds so think before you open your sewer so you dont pollute the world with stupid answers once again

US citizen living in UK - paying council rent?

My husband is a US citzen and is living here on a spouse visa. He is not working yet and has no income whatsoever, but we still have to pay rent and council tax to the council for him. Is this right or is there a possibility we shouldnt have to pay since he gets no money?

How can I determine the version of a type of IBM Thinkpad laptop?

I want to determine the version of an old IBM Thinkpad laptop that isn't functioning properly. I am using another computer to write this. I can't turn on the laptop for certain reason so I don't know the version of it.

It's the classic, black laptop with the red button on the middle.

I will appreciate it very much if you send me sites of the manufacturer with pictures of different versions of the laptop.

Is a replacement ethernet card installed in an expansion slot slower than the original one on the motherboard?

I have a new Gateway GT 4010 and ethernet card originally came on the motherboard went bad. Gateway sent me new one, but this one goes in where the expansion slots are used. If I put this in will it be a slower connection than if I made them put a new one on the motherboard? I know gateway would rather not have to put a new one on motherboard because it would mean that I would have to send the computor in to the factory to have them install it. I just did not want to do anything to make the internet slower and I am afraid that even though it might work by installing a ethernet card in the expansion slots it can not be as quick or effective.

Seeing back in time...?

Scientist are always saying that they can see back in time in terms of the light that has traveled from distant stars and galaxies. If we see light freom a star that is 1 billion light years away then it is said that that light is 1 billion years old therefore we can see 1 billion years ago. I dont get this concept. If we can see as far back as ten billion light years then how are we seeing this light? How did we as observers get to where we are in the ubiverse before the light that was created billions of years before the earth was even formed? We didnt travel faster than the light that we are seeing so how is this possible? Maybe I'm confused?
