Earth is geospherical in shape The Qur’an mentions the actual shape of the earth in the following verse: "And we have made the earth egg shaped". [Al-Qur’an 79:30] The Arabic word Dahaha means egg shaped. It also means an expanse. Dahaha is derived from Duhiya which specifically refers to the egg of an ostrich which is geospherical in shape, exactly like the shape of the earth.

Earth has been spread out Similarly, the Qur’an says in several verses that the earth has been spread out. "And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: how excellently We do spread out!" [Al-Qur’an 51:48] Similarly the Qur’an also mentions in several other verses that the earth is an expanse: "Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse" "And the mountains as pegs?" [Al-Qur’an 78:6-7] None of these verses of the Qur’an contain even the slightest implication that the earth is flat.The Qur’an describes the earth crust as a carpet, without which human beings would not be able to survive because of the hot, fluid and hostile environment beneath it. The Qur’an only compares the earth’s crust with a carpet.

My partner's says she's losing it. Time and time again. I am convinced she may be. But cant help wondering if she has these weird moments to disable me in some way?
She's smashed things in the house.
Cries for no reason at all.
Appalling memory.
Cant be sure if she's doing it to drive me away because I am the only one who's seen her "lose it" - its a big secret to her friends , family and work. After 3 yrs together - recently found she has been having eating problems too. Again this is all secret - I did nt know and LIVE WITH HER!!
Now I know about her bulimia habits she says I should understand because it makes her feel better!!!? Did I say - I dont think all is right here. Anyone with similar experiences?

When I lived in South Carolina (I lived there from 1986-1990), in 1988, my teacher (I was in second grade) held a vote to find out how most of our parents were voting. Nearly every child there raised their hands for Dukakis. I was one of two that raised my hand for Bush. Yet the town I lived in was the EPITOME of the stereotypical Southern town. Clover still only has a population of about 2000. When we lived there, it was barely over 1000, so everyone knew each other, and most people were related somehow.
As a matter of fact, there were two girls who were best friends. One was white, the other was black. The white girl's ancestors had owned the black girl's ancestors as slaves.
The town I lived in in Oklahoma (a college town, Stillwater) was mostly Democrat.
So, there are exceptions to this "rule."
