6 by a vast margin. The two cars are in totally different classes (civic=compact 6= midsize) The 6 has more of everything such as hp, bigger engines, bigger interior, etc Plus hondas are so overpriced they may cost similar amounts.
Based on my own bad experiences with hondas they are not any better than any other brand of car.
I have an '04 6 wagon with the V-6 and automatic and had a close friend with a 96 civic and there is no comparison really. 6 all the way

I don't think you can really compare these 2, they are in different classes. The Civic is a strong reliable fun car. The 6 is a bigger slightly more family oriented car, but also fun.
Drive them both, and see what you like best.

The Mazda 6 is perhaps the most solid vehicle one can own.
