I don't mean to be rude, honestly, but are there people out there who actually believe in hell as a physical place where people burn eternally. Come on, really?

The state of bliss is really that state in which you become truly unattached and accept sorrow and happiness with equanimity.
So to be in heaven is to be thoroughly unattached. To my understanding this is the Hindu view about heaven. Of coarse heaven is no physical place but a concept
Though an atheist, I still think there is some substance in this doctrine. .

***How can Heaven truly be bliss when people you love and care for are burning in Hell? ***

OK, now that's a thought.

I don't think i could take it, listening to all those
screams and agony. That would definitely cause
me to not have a good day.
I'd probably end up begging for mercy for them.
If that didn't work i would probably request to be sent to hell also to be with them. Maybe Satan will have mercy on us and send us all back to Heaven. You never know maybe Satan is a merciful soul.

Have a blessed day.

As one individual, I will answer to your statements made instead. I don't believe that we live in a time of armageddon. Honestly I hope it doesn't happen in my life time. I'm 36 and for the first time ever I recently started to read and study the bible so that I can understand and come to my own conclusions as to what happened and what's going on with humanity because it is all just horrible. I belong to no church and have no ties to any religion.

In Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 the Bible clearly states that the dead are conscious of nothing; they cease to exist. Upon hearing about the death of Lazarus, Jesus told his followers he was going to awaken Lazarus from his state of sleep. The teaching of someone burning in Hell is a ploy of false religions to manipulate the people into subjection.

God's purpose was for us to live forever in a beautiful paradise in "perfect" conditions. And He still intents to bring that promise about, even after Adam's and Eve's disobedient actions. Acts 24:15 states there's going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous. Everyone in death will hear Jesus voice and be judged on their deeds after the resurrection, (death is the wages of our sin during this life, we have a clean slate after the resurrection, Romans 6:23).

Don't let the false teachings of this world discourage you; your loved ones are in God's memory and they are not suffering. When the time is right He will bring them back into a new beautifully restored Earth. This is my daughter's favorite scripture Revelation 21:1-4, And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

You've heard the saying the truth will set you free. These religions don't want you to know the truth; they'ld lose control and financial resources. Be strong and keep faithful. John 17:3, "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

Accuarate knowledge of God's word and understanding of the scriptures will give you many blessings and much peace. Agape.

the "Christian" God is a selfish God. He creates people to worship Him. If they do, they go to heaven and continue to worship Him. those who don't burn for ever without the compassion of God or Christians. Every Jew slaughtered in the furnaces woke from that horror to the greater horror of hell.

I cannot believein the above God. the LDS God created people so they could be like Him. He knew how happy we would be to be alive. He knew they good we would do. Those who go to hell go until they are purged of sin and learn to stop hurting others.

OMG I never thaught of this! Nice 1!

Maybe when a person reaches heaven, he/she is shown why the loved one is in hell. That would change their perspective on those souls in hell & move on to be with other loved ones in heaven?

Well, I couldnt say more as I dont beleive in Hell or heaven except the ones we create for ourselves during our lives on earth. I do however respect other people's beleifs.

We all make choices. It isn't easy to have friends and family in hell. Heaven will be bliss, and we wont be thinking of those when we are in heaven. We will have no more sorrow, pain, or tears. We will be happy, and praising the Lord. That is so important. I wish all people would chose to go to heaven, but they don't. It does hurt.

The only answer anyone could offer would be that the close presence of God would be so comforting that we'll forget all that we've left behind.

Among other things, you'll know that anyone who is in hell will have deserved it; no one will accidentally end up there by some clerical error.

Hell does not burn forever, it will be a period of time which will destroy the wicked people.

God also promises he will wipe our tears away when the earth is created a new, we won't remember the people who were lost, only God will. And it will break his heart for all eternity, that some of us weren't with him.
