Power of attorney would be given to the parents if she could not make decisions on her own, whether it be mental capacity or otherwise. Who made the decision to marry then? It seems to make sense that power of attorney taken before the age of 22 would not stand up in court after marriage since you can only enter a marriage being of sound mind and body right? A legal contract is signed at the wedding and uinless the parents signed it for her then even the marriage could be questioned.
