You really should double-check with your doctor on this type of thing. Having said that.....
If you were to put a small amount of baby applesauce on the cereal it would probably be fine; but you need to consider a couple of things: 1) There's the chance adding more than cereal could make the acid reflux worse (I don't know, I'm just saying you should ask a doctor) and 2) the baby doesn't particularly need anything that tastes any better than his cereal. He's so little he's probably happy with whatever the cereal is.
One other thing to keep in mind: The earlier you introduce the different foods to a baby, the more his chances will be of developing food allergies.

No fruit is necessary. My 2 month old is on cereal as well because of his acid reflux. Pediatrician recommended it because he would just projectile vomit any liquid. So don't listen to those people who tell you not to give cereal. Your baby can digest it just fine. About 20 years ago, doctors had 2 month olds on mashed meats already........
All studies relating to food allergies have not been given the okay by the AMA. So.....do what you think is best.

your 2 month old should not be eating cereal yet,no less fruit. Your Dr. would probably tell you you should wait until they are 4 months to even eat cereal sometimes six months. Studies have show the longer you wait to give ANY food the less food allergies that they will get! At this age babies only need formula or the breast.

They say that fruit even baby fruit has natural acid in them so it might not be a good idea because it make the acid reflux act up.

I would check with the doctor, but in general, you introduce new foods one at a time just in case of allergies. The taste buds of a baby are not very discriminating at this age.
Two months is early to introduce foods. Have you tried soy milk for the acid reflux? My daughter had colic and soy was a good choice for her.

I think two mos. is a little to young for fruit to be put in an infant cereal and the baby probably can't digest. I didn't give my baby cereal until her doctor said it was okay and then to sweeten it I put in baby apple juice for taste.

a 2 year old just doesnt know taste. Its you who feels she needs to be given something different, because u are possiblly bored. Just carry on the normal cereal. Or pressure cook some rice with 3 times the amount of water, so it will be copletely mashed, if it is thick add some more water and make it fluidy

No, a baby can't digest anything like fruit until at least four to six months. Stick with the cereal and since this is what your baby is used to, then he/she doesn't need any extra taste.

I would avoid fruit at this point because your baby is really too young and the acid in the fruit will only make him/her more uncomfortable. Good luck and hopefully your baby will outgrow the acid reflux.

i wouldn't do fruit as the acid in the fruit or fruit juice makes the acid reflux worse..... i used to put a very little bit of sugar in my baby's cereal it sweetens it up a little. both of them seemed to like that....
