When you have halved and de-seeded your peppers, chuck them in the steamer for 10 minutes to soften. Stuff them with just about anything you fancy, a great way to get rid of leftovers or almost out of date food. Just pre-cook the food as you normally would before stuffing the pepper. Then you can stuff the peppers and just give them long enough to brown in the oven, maybe 10 minutes on gas mark 6

Depends on if the inside of the pepper was filled with a cold mix or had been pre cooked.
190c for 20 mins on a pre heated oven and 30 if not

I usually take my peppers and place them in a large pan of water and bring it to a boil for 10 minutes.. The I fry my hamburger and onion up first.. Drain it and run water over the hamburger and drain it some more.. Then I get a casserole dish, place the peppers in it and stuff them with what you want to stuff them with along with the hamburger.. Then I usually pour tomatoe sauce over all of it, maybe a little ketcup for flavoring and bake in the over for 1 hour at 300 temperature

I usually set my oven at 350 and bake for 1 hour, covered. No need to par boil the peppers unless you really like them mushy.

it really has to do with the temperature you will set your oven.. however as a rule of thumb, the baking ought to be as long as it is needed for the pepper skin to become really thin.. that's the proper way of baking for stuffed peppers (or tomatoes for that matter) ..

180 celsius for 35-40 minutes. A little olive oil on them and under them and a grind of black pepper.
Enjoy!
