Every true Christian goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.

(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house

It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Incidentally, the typical Jehovah's Witness knocks at hundreds of doors each year. He has already experienced degrading behavior from householders, some of whom: stand there naked, mimic Satanists, proposition lewd acts, brandish weapons, sic dogs, scream profanities, accuse crimes, and call Witnesses anti-American (inside the USA) or pro-American (outside the USA).

Fascists have called Witnesses "communists". Communists have called Witnesses "fascists".

Haven't you ever heard of 'hedging your bets'? Simple risk vs. reward analysis should make anyone very reluctant to abuse these ministers.

(Acts 5:38,39) I say to you, Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, you may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

Jehovah's Witnesses are going to knock on your door unless you specifically and unequivocally tell them that you do not want them knocking, or if they fear for their own safety. Nothing else will really deter them, so you would be going to a lot of effort to accomplish nothing but pleasing Satan.

Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?

(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

I used to be one and I know a few of the good ways because they teach you what to say and what to avoid at the doors.
1. Tell them that you worship the devil, even if you don't. And it'd be great if you could say something in Latin.
2. Say that you're very busy right now and ask if they can come back later and be very vague about when.
3. Say that you are getting ready for work and that you really don't have the time.
4. Tell them that you were a witness and that you're not ready to come back to the group, yet.
5. Put a 'No Trespassing' or 'Beware of Dog' sign up.
6. Act like you're not home, but they will come back, so its better to do one of the above.

I suggest you start by doing your homework.

I agree with Salvation's answer, but not with Oui Fleur, the former JW.

Before I started reading the Bible on a regular basis I used to tell the people who knocked on my door that my JW mom used to make life miserable for my family by causing World War 3 every Sunday as the rest of the family was getting ready to go to church. Then I would close the door on them.

But now I talk to them - well they have stopped coming to my door - because I showed them that Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega just as God is the Alpha and the Omega. I show them Deuteronomy 18:20-22 regarding false prophecy and bring up the many many many failed prophecies of the JWs.

Until you feel comfortable with speaking to JWs you could purchase some copies of a pamphlet called An Open Letter to a Jehovah's Witness by Roy B. Zuck and just hand it to them before you close the door.

A simple "I'm not interested, please don't call again" will do the trick. Jehovah's Witnesses are some of the most peaceful people on Earth. Why do so many people advocate violence or disrespect? We come only with your well-being in mind and will respect your wishes if you no longer wish to be called on. It is really that simple.

The best way to make JW not coming to your house if u have shown to them that you follows what's Bible said to you and following Jesus in every aspects in your life.
And the question is have you do what a bible told you to do and do like Jesus did? Have You? ....... such as go door to door like Jesus did ... just it written in luke 8:1; luke 10:1, Have you done it? ......
Cos like 1 Corinthians 9:16 said "If, now, I am declaring the good news, it is no reason for me to boast, for necessity is laid upon me. Really, woe is me if I did not declare the good news!" ... so what happen if u dont declare the good news like Jesus did? ...... well u have to answer it...... Have u declare the good news? ........

and like John 13:34,35 (34) I am giving YOU a new commandment, that YOU love one another; just as I have loved YOU, that YOU also love one another. (35) By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves.”

So have you shown as Jesus disciples to practise love among us?... Have you done what Jesus did? ........

and so on.

A couple rounds from the trusty ol' 12 gauge fired into the air should do the trick. If not, aim a little lower.

Chain saw and plastic bags. Heavy duty. You did ask the best way to get rid of them. Try to think of it as merely dispatching zombies or Mormons.

1. Open the door...
2. Tell them that you are not interested...
3. Tell them NOT to come back...
4. Close the door.

Hehe.. or ... use Deazone's answer... it worked for me! Well... I am Mormon, and I didn't tell them that I had missionaries coming over.

well, the first person's right, you could NOT answer the door, but they're gonna keep coming back. they used to come to my house too, but i made it a point to tell them that i have read their literature and appreciate what they believe and what they're trying to tell me, but i just don't believe the same way they do and i'm not going to. one of our patients is a jehovah's witness and came to my house and since i already had a relationship of sorts with her, it was easy to get her to back off. i haven't had a jehovah's witness come to my house since my son was born 2 years ago.

be polite but firm in telling them you are satisfied with your own Belief System. Most of those whom I had visit understood this attitude and were not " pushy " regarding this approach. be respectful though while doing so as they have a right to their Belief just like you do to yours.
