Hi there...the best solution for diarrhea is to mix a tablespoon of canned Pumpkin to the food. This will help firm up the bowels gently and safely. Pepto Bismol can be fatal to cats as it contains aspirin (salicylic acid) in it. Any vet can confirm this fact.

Please keep in mind that if the kitten has any type of worms a bacterial infection from giardia or coccidia these all will cause diarrhea and needs to be treated by a vet as no over the counter product can resolve these. Parasites can cause bowel disturbances which is very common in kittens.

Be certain the kitten isn't drinking any cow's milk as cats are lactose intolerant which gives them diarrhea as a result of it.

Feed them only dry cat food and make sure they have access to plenty of water, since diarrhea can cause dehydration. If the condition lasts more than a few days, consult a vet.

as long as the diarroeah is not too bad just stop giving it food for 24 hours and only allow it water to drink. this should improve things. if it's bad or this doesn't improve it go to the vet urgently as your cat could die of dehydration.

You really shouldnt let them have salicate which is in pepto and no food, just water or pedialyte like was listed in another post. If they have diarrhea they probably have gastrointenteritis.

You have to find out what is causing it!! If it is parasites,or coccidia...it needs to be treated!!!
If it because they are getting milk or other table foods, stop giving them that.
If it is because they are eating a crappy, corn filled, full of dye food...switch to a better food.
If you still can't figure it out, you need to go to the vet!!!
