在《頑童流浪記》中，可以感覺得馬克吐溫對奴役黑人及歧視黑人等情事充滿了無限的同情。主角之一吉姆雖為一個黑奴，但卻心性善良，且謙遜待人，在與哈克流浪的日子裡，他伴演著亦父亦友的角色，同時在有意無意間給與哈克不少的啟發。也許可以說，當哈克掙扎於是否告密吉姆逃跑時，正代表著馬克吐溫對當時黑奴制度的敢怒而不敢言，透過哈克將自己的真正心意表達出來，而哈克與吉姆的互依互存的朋友關係，對當時白人歧視黑人的社會下，或許也有相當的震撼。

用簡單的英文就可以了...不希望是翻譯軟體的...謝謝
