I'm planning on going to Las Vegas in the middle of December, but have no idea if I should fly or drive. Some people say it's safer to fly because of the snow storms in the desert, but others say it's cheapr to drive and not bad at all. Help! Who should I believe?

I live in New Jersey and my 21st birthday is right before spring break so I really want to go somewhere. I've been wanting to go Cali my whole life and Las Vegas and Grand Canyon are amazing so I would love to take my bf there. Where do you guys recommend that I fly into? We would like to see as much as we can of america in 3 weeks driving from LA to NYC. Montana and Tenneese are two places we would like to include. But we don't want to be doing very long drives a day 6 hous max, also we would like to stop a few days in some places. Is this a bit adventurous?

I need a rental car in Phoenix from 11/19/2007 to 11/26/2007 but i'm 23 and most rental companies charge a $25 fee per day if your under 25. Does anyone know any companies that don't charge that fee or how to get around it?

My father and my sister are coming over here in South Texas on March and also my friend from Canada. My friends and I are going to Las Vegas Dec 7th-10th 2007 from Chicago and have been checking all the sites (Orbitz, Priceline, etc) and all the ticket prices are the same around 300 dollars. Will they become cheaper closer to December or is price for the season? Thanks in advance.

We have 3 boys, 7, 11, & 14. we love the outdoors but would also like to make this trip extra memorable for the kids. What is there to do for new years eve? I also would like to implement a little romance for my wife because this is also our first anniversary. We will be staying in Pleasanton but we have rented transportation. A day hike, a show, a drive or any activity that would be fun for the boys. Thank you for any advice.

I'd like to take my family to the Gatlinburg area during the week of Thanksgiving, as this is the only time the kids are out of school long enough to travel. This is pretty spur of the moment and I haven't made any hotel reservations. Will I have problems finding a room in the area? I'll accept a room in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Cherokee, even Sevierville if necessary. Does the Smokies area generally have large crowds during Thanksgiving?
