I recently lost my job and I literally am broke. My mom made plans before I lost my job so this was definitely not expected. Considering a low budget and she is staying for 4 nights and three days what are some things to do?

The NYC Tourist Center has a section of links devoted to FREE things to do in New York City such as museums, landmarks, etc. ..

Your mom is coming to see YOU. If she loves you and I am sure she does, just tell her the truth when she arrives. You can both visit shops, go to parks, spend time talking and catching up with each other. The important thing is being together. Play board games, cards, window shop. People watch. I'm sure there are plenty of free places to go in NYC!

I would go to the Rockefeller Center to see the tree lighting ceremony.
The museums
Ellis Island
Time Square

Parks and parades are usually a fun and inexpensive way to spend the day. Just look on your local news channel's website to see what's going on in the community (festivals, etc.) around the time your mom will be visiting.

never try to hide anything from the parents............. if they come to know later about the problem which u r facing now, they will feel bad, so better dont hide anything, and tell about the loss of job to ur mama,,
Being an admirable child u want to make happy to ur mama
Hmmmmmm so sweet of u..........
i cant say any thing about the budget, u can borrow some money from ur good friends, but i dont think its good to ask for money,,,,,,,,,,,,

ok well, i am only 14 but still if ur mom is coming to visit you well, if you have no money have you tried looking for another job for the meantime?? well, I can give you this advice what ever you do don't tell her you lost your job and don't tell her you're broke because that gets the parents pissed off cuz they think you're begging for money look in the newspaper for a good paying job that they look like they are hiring k!!!
