monticello park in san antonio in 1930s and 1940s was there alot of jews there cause a article saids during that time only anglos could live there? i got it from express-news

Sammi, now you seem to feel all people with white skin are jews. Yet you call them anglos. Anglos by definition come from England. The jewish people did not originate, nor was there a strong prescence of jewish persons in England,so why would Anglos be jews. Anglos would more likely be Anglican or as they are usually known in the US Episcopalian. Why don't you get your racist thoughts organized before you come to YA?

EDIT: Sammi Beatrice brings up a good point... where do you look at the 70-80 y/o Express News archives?
EDIT: Texana - The fact that a term is commonly used doen not make it appropriate. If you ask black people were commonly called by the "N-word" did not make it less offensive. Hispanics in Texas have been called by inappropriate terms and did not appreciate them. I happen to be of Dutch and Native American ancestry, so Anglo does not apply.

In Texas the term "anglo" is often used to refer to any person not of Mexican heritage or black. There was a time in the not so distant past that Hispanics were more or less segregated into certain areas. I've been referred to as "anglo" all my life and my ancestors came from Holland, not England.
Jews are members of a religious group, not a racial one. In the context of this discussion most Jews would likely be called Anglo, although it certainly isn't impossible to have a Mexican or an AfroAmerican Jew. Elizabeth Taylor, born in England, is a convert to the Jewish faith as was Sammy Davis, Jr.

Okay you actually asked a question without focusing on Anglos, but then you used the word "Jews" instead. It 's funny only you seem to be getting these kinds of articles from the Express News, because I read it every day and I have not seen those articles.
