It isn't that bad. Keep an ear out for traffic reports before you reach 37. I can usually average over 60mph except for the usual slowing around Davis and Vallejo, and that awful one-lane slowdown on 37 when a motorhome pulls out in front of me.

I like to plan ahead and map out everything, including any alternate routes incase something happens.
Take off alittle earlier than usual, for even we know some people love to go out for Lunch, even on Saturdays and that rush for the Lunch is crazy! Always plan ahead.
And take the map and cell phone along, you never know when you may need it.

Ridiculous, it always was when I drove it anyway. There were a few times I'd reach Vallejo and just turn around and give up. Bring your patience, good humor and an empty bladder.

I would think that there would be no problem.

Sunday evening traffic towards SF can be rather heavy.
