My friends and I are going to Las Vegas Dec 7th-10th 2007 from Chicago and have been checking all the sites (Orbitz, Priceline, etc) and all the ticket prices are the same around 300 dollars. Will they become cheaper closer to December or is price for the season? Thanks in advance.

www.sidestep.com <--- this checks most of the published fares and links you to the cheapest ones. I find I generally get the best price 4-6 weeks before traveling.

The other reality is, you said you want to be in from Friday to Monday - these are THE most expensive days to travel into Vegas. If you go Thursday to Tuesday, you can get it for $216 a person, and if you leave on Wednesday 12/5 to Tuesday 12/11, you can fly direct nonstop on American for $214 a person. That saves you almost $100 a person. (The rooms will be cheaper too.)

You didn't say if you had rooms already. If you don't, go to www.vegas.com - for the days you want, air and hotel range from $350 a person to $950 a person. It's thru USAir.

The deals are there, you just have to hunt a little.

try Allegient Air. I am flying round trip 12/10 from Springfield to Vegas for $198 nonstop. You might try to find them at Midway, but I know they also fly out of Peoria and Bloomington. Try the website to see the closest to Chicago
