I'm moving near Ft Meade, MD in March and wondered what it was like. Is the weather nice?... is it a high crime area?..is it expensive to live there?..and on that subject, are there any quiet towns near there that are fairly nice, have low crime and have decent living expenses?

I'm going to Vegas for the first time. I keep reading and hearing about the Fremont Experience and "Old Vegas". I'll be staying at Harrah's, so my question is what is the best way to get to the Fremont Experiece from my hotel? Keep in mind that I have never been to Vegas so the more details the better!!

I am flying into JFK at night and would like to take an Amtrak train to Philadelphia at Penn Station . From what I can gather the best and fastest route to Penn Station I can take is AirTran from JFK to Jamaica. Take the MTA LIRR from Jamaica to Penn Station.

How long does this route take?
Has anybody taken this route and has advice?
Any other route suggestions?
How much is a taxi ride and how long?

We are taking a trip to Vegas the few days following xmas for my 21st bday ( finally)! My mom really wanted this trip to be just us two since I only get to see her a couple times a year, so I'm trying to look into activities we can do. Will it be weird for her to go to bars/clubs haha?
