We are taking a trip to Vegas the few days following xmas for my 21st bday ( finally)! My mom really wanted this trip to be just us two since I only get to see her a couple times a year, so I'm trying to look into activities we can do. Will it be weird for her to go to bars/clubs haha? Also I am considering moving to Vegas when I graduate in May, so does anyone have any feedback on living there in your early 20s, most likely moving out there alone?

going with your mom will probably be a bust. if your mom is hot enough to hang out at clubs that you would want to go to, then she is probably hot enough to upstage you and that is never fun. Vegas is the one place in the world I will never go with my parents or with my children.

if you live there you will most likely get an STD.

I love Vegas, it is one of my favorite places in the world.

I think you could have fun with your Mom, if other people are there too. Just the two of you going out on the town probably won't be much fun. And plan on waiting in line for clubs. Some of the hotels have piano bars that would probably be more fun for just the two of you.

I'll tell you from experience, this is a hard town to move to as a young person, especially by yourself. I don't know where you're coming from, but wherever it is, it will be very different here. Vegas has its own kind of people. I've been lucky enough to meet a handful of genuine people over the last few years... but just a handful. Just be careful.

Don't listen to that guy. You know how people get std's-- so be smart (this means avoiding dirty tourists that are just out to have a good time, and "leave it in Vegas"). Its no more prevalent here than anywhere else.

Good luck!

sure there are a lot of places to not bypass while you're on a funds. fairly all the vast inn/casinos are going to charge you $7 for a lager or like $8 for a mixed drink. that's certainly till you're playing there, then you definately may well be waiting to attain some unfastened ones. yet once you at the instant are not making plans on pissing all your $ away playing yet nevertheless wanna party and drink then I fairly have some recommendations for you. on the Strip - O'Sheas, expenses & Slots of relaxing all have low priced beverages. expenses has ninety 9 cent margaritas that are YUMMY even however they are merely a splash good. The daquiris & margaritas at Slots of relaxing are yummy and dont flavor good and that they are $a million.25 and massive. HAha. That place rocks yet once you like a very relaxing atmosphere devoid of spending a ton of $$ then DEFINATELY bypass all the way down to Freemont highway. Take the Deuce Bus to get there and back. Its $5 for an afternoon bypass and you will p.c.. it up at any on line casino. It makes a lot of stops. Downtown is so relaxing and has a large ligtshow each and every hour!! The nutrients downtown is low priced. i opt for to recommend the ninety 9 cent shrimp cocktail on the Golden Gate. additionally you may get beers and margaritas, daquiris for ninety 9 cents fairly lots everywhere down there. My husband and that i had a blast at "Mermaids" on Freemont highway. We have been enjoying the nickel slots and have been given served unfastened beverages each and every 10 minutes!! What a deal!!!! Theres no reason to pay an arm and a leg for something in Vegas by using fact there are various of places to opt for between. Dont get suckered into those costly places

I went with my mom 9 years ago, and we're going again next spring. Depending on your mom, you might want to stick with the lounge-style bars. Take her to the Beauty Bar - which is on East Fremont St. It's decorated with old hairstylists' stations from salons in the 50s/60s and is very kitschy and cool. They make good drinks too! My favorite is called the Conditioner. My mom and I go to the Big Apple Bar at NYNY - they have good live music.

If you're going to move out there, make sure you have enough money saved for at least several months' worth of living expenses and bills. Many places will not interview anyone who isn't already living in Vegas, and even then, they won't make an offer until you live there. I have been trying to move out there for ten years - next year I should be able to finally do it. I sent my resume to 30 different places, I got two interviews last year, and both said "Call us when you move." Since it took my friends anywhere from six weeks to three months to get jobs once they moved, I plan on taking six months' worth of money with me.

The cost of living is less, then most places, and the weather is nice most of the year. There's lots to do in LV. Not sure where you are staying, but there are a ton of shows, and some great places to eat and shop.

I went there with my dad for my 21st and I had a great time. We gambled but you can have a great time without gambling or clubs. It's just a really exciting place. You'll have a great time.
