Phoenix is the fast growing big city in the nation, It may become second LA, and air pollution, traffic, and hot weather,dust winds, shortage of water, high criminal rate, poor neibourhood, a lot illegle immigrants will make the city dying.

I am planning to go to Lake Tahoe this long weekend (23 Nov - 25 Nov 07). I see that all the ski lifts and resorts are closed and they report base snow depth of 0''. Would you know of locations at Lake Tahoe where I could see and walk on snow?

I would really like to live in Somerville or Cambridge, because obviously the Boston area is the best place to meet people, but I'm not sure what my (real) commute would be like... as in, with traffic on 495, not the 35 minute mapquest version!!! Any insight would be VERY welcome!!! Thanks!

Hello... Im on vacations on San Diego, CA and I would like to know if here do u have "black friday"? Cus I would like to go shopping :) and I've heard that in US, on the day after Thanksgiving the stores have a lot of sales, does it apply in San Diego, as well?

Somewhere with decent weather, no humidity, not 100 degrees almost everyday, somewhere culturally diverse so my husband and I don't get stared at constantly (like we do now, Im European he is Mexican), lots of different jobs, good schools and not super expensive. We are going to NYC for my 21st birthday. We are staying 2 nights and will rarely be at the hotel and want to put 3 people in a room "meant" for two people. If we are found out will we be kicked out, does it depend on the hotel? The hotel will either be the New Yorker or another big hotel if we can find a better deal (since New Yorker got back reviews online). Our other option was to stay in a suite that sleeps 4 and have 5 people in it.

Here in DC when my friend had her party the staff didn't seem to mind that there were 11 of us in a 3 person suite -- but we weren't all spending the night just hanging out at like 2AM.

Is it worth my conscience to pay more for some peace of mind?
