There is not real ghetto. The areas where it is less desirable is Rainer Valley, White Center, International District, and Skyway. But White Center is in the process of being incorporated as Seattle, or Burien. And both cities want to do so in an effort to clean it up. And Rainer Valley and Skyway are being unapproved right now since Paul Allen (Microsoft fame, owner of Seahawks and Trail Blazers) is building a ton of new infrastructure in Renton and cleaning up that city.

Well, I would have to say the "ghetto" exists in areas that, if you are new to the area probably won't end up going. I would have to say that the main "ghetto" area is actually part of Burien a suburb of Seattle and Whitecenter, an unincorporated piece of property soon to become part of Seattle. The next most ghetto area would have to be out in Rainier Valley....But then again like whats-his-name was saying. Most of Seattle isn't all that ghetto. Ghetto here isn't like ghetto anywhere else. Ghetto here is the fact that a house or apartment complex has a bad paint job or the building is just too old....I do agree with the north end as well...there is a bit of ghetto up there....Good ole depriciated property due to damage.

There are no major 'ghettos' in Seattle. The closest area for 'ghetto classification' would be SeaTac (near the airport) or parts of Burien. These areas, however, also have a lot of nice/new neighborhoods that make up the difference.

Most of Seattle is going under the condo craze -- where old homes are being bought out, turned into new duplexes/condos to handle the population boom.

Seattle doesn't really have many areas that are that "ghetto". On top of that, most of the areas that seemed "ghetto" have had so many changes as people are trying to buy up every area they can...

We don't have "ghettos". If you're asking what are the main areas where black people live, than I'll have to say we don't have many of those either. With the Light Rail being built, most of the black people are being pushed south to Kent, Federal Way, Des Moines, etc.

However, Seattle is a pretty diverse place to live without a lot of violence or "ghettos".
