Are these people a fraud?

I signed up to win this contest for a trip to Las Vegas. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Ok, my friends and I are planning a trip to Times Square, New York, to see the ball drop this year. It will take us four hours to drive and the price of gas. Or we can fly and take us and hour and $800. I know that flying would be quicker, but money wise we are not sure. Plus, we will have to get a hotel room. But my question is if we drive how much gas would be needed for a 20 gallon tank to get us all the way to New York? Say he drives 65 miles an hour the whole way, which he will probably either go slower or faster but that is the average. How much gas would be needed then. Sorry I am not a math person. Anyone who has been to NY, give me some ideas on the Hotel, Gas prices, I know they will rise or fall, the cost of things, Ect. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Also we are planning to leave on the 28th of Dec. and Return the 2nd of Jan. Anyone's answers are welcome. Thanks soo much to anyone who answers. Also, we live near D.C. if that helps anyone out. Thanks.

I am planning on traveling to Tuscon, AZ from Los Angeles, CA. I have to take the train to LA, a shuttle to LAX, and then board the flight.

The thing is, the train arrives at 9:25am, the shuttle to LAX leaves at 9:30, promising a commute of 45 minutes or less. So that means that I will get there at 10:15 give or take. There is a flight to AZ that departs at 10:40. I will only have one carry-on, like a large school backpack so I don't think I will have to check any luggage. Should I book the 10:40 flight or wait until the next one and book the one at 1:45?

I have done some research about the area and the homes. It seems like a pretty nice suburban area.

I was just wondering if there is a little downtown area that you can just walk around or that has a few restaurants.....or do you really have to go to Denver for restuarants and entertainment?

Would you want to live in Littletown or is it boring compared to other towns in the Denver metro region?

I am moving to Manhattan in few weeks (from NJ)...
I still have to commute to Teaneck-NJ (About 10 miles to Manhattan) at least 3 days a week for school,
It would be easier and cheaper (i think so) to go there by car but parking is gonna be a problem in Manhattan.
So what do you think?
Should I sell my car and commute by bus or path?
or keep the car and find a cheap parking garage or park it on the Manhattan streets?

The background: in September, my mother and I are traveling to New York City for 10 days on our holiday. We're flying into Newark, and I had wrongly assumed there'd be a direct train to Grand Central Station (we're staying at the Grand Hyatt http://grandnewyork.hyatt.com/ , which is right next to Grand Central Station).

I tried to use the public transport travel planner to see how to do this, but the only options it gave me included two trains and a bus. Is there any easier way to get to Grand Central that does NOT involve two transfers with our suitcases, aside from taking a taxi?

Those silly roadside (tourist trap) statues like the one of Paul Bunyan. Have you visited any? Where and what was it? Will you link a pic? Many of them are what is called "Muffler Men" but I'm interested in any you may have seen.

I'll let this go to you all to vote...
Winner is the one with the tackiest picture OR the funniest story which goes along with the trip to the statue.

Here's one of my favorites, because I've eaten there. It used to be a Drive-Inn restaraunt where they would bring your food on a tray to your car and hang it on your window. I THINK it is all eat in now. Food was very good!

Travelling I-71N near Medina, OH, I can either continue on I-71N to I-90 or use I-271E which also runs into I-90. I understand I-271 is a four lane highway, which way is faster?
Thanks!

So, my bf, my bro, and his gf have saved plenty of money for this vacation. Four of us still have not made up our mind though. My bf suggests that we all go to Hawaii, but my bro thinks that Bali is much better option.

Anyway, what do you all think then? Which destination would be more expensive and costly, btw? How much should we prepare for Bali or for Hawaii? What's the benefit of travelling to Bali instead of Hawaii (and vice versa)?

I just read on disboard.com that you can now add the dining plan to the cruise line land/sea package. Is this true? Is it a good deal?

This is what disboards said:

2008 DISNEY DINING PLAN ADD-ON

For $37.99 per night per person for guests ages 10 and up and $9.99 per night per person for guests ages 3 - 9, you can now add on the Disney Dining Plan during your land stay

I'm a guy, not a lady. I plan to wear a sarong, a t-shirt and kukui nut necklace my entire visit with board shorts underneath for hitting the waves, with Teva sandals?

What do you do with your sandals while you're snorkeling? Where do you get those surf shoes that you can wear with your swim fins and avoid burning your feet?
