W have consider New Jersey, Queens... or Fremont,sacramento,SF... or even LA... but couldnt decide as we have no idea what is ahead of us at all.

My husband is headhunted by a company in New Jersey. As he is needed to fly about during the weekdays. We are able to select the location we wanted to settle down in, not neccessary when his office is located.

Its not that I have selected the most expensive states. Its just that I have very limited knowledge of the country, therefore needed some assistance in guiding before the major move.

Appreciate constructive reply. Thanks

I have never lived in USA before therefore I have no idea how to begin the search

Big decision!!

California is pricey. Housing maket is unreal - although its going bust as we speak. In certain areas of CA a 1500 square foot house on average goes for $700,000!

I guess it depends on where you plan on moving in each respective state. The areas of NY you've selected are probably a better bet as far as housing costs go.

Actual cost of living won't vary greatly between the two.

New Jersey is a fantastic place to live! CA and NY are both expensive in the housing and everything else. i would pick CA though because the environment is alot better.

You have picked the two most costly states in our nation, congratulations!

In comparison, i believe NY is a bit more costly that California, but not by much.

I live in California.

good luck...and welcome to the USA ♥

I'm surprised that you seem so open... don't you have a job? I would say find a job, and then your choices will be more clear.
