I was considering going to visit a friend of mine in California in October. However, I have done that before and it is not that I do not want to see her but I am always trying to find somewhere new to go. It would have to be somewhere inexpensive but at the same time fun. Any suggestions?

I'm going to school in the bay area and my housing is in Oakland (by Claremont and College Avenue)...just want to ask if Oakland is really a dangeroes place...should i carry a taser with me? My husband's company is looking to transfer him, and Pennsylvania seems to be a strong possibility. It seems that he would be working in Maryland, but most the people that work there live in the York area.

Im not sure what to expect other than a brief trip we took last December to Maryland (and I had a good laugh at some Pennsylvanians that bragged that they were "rednecks" and not 5 minutes later pointed out a "flock of deer" on the side of the road). All I really know is that it will be cooler than it is here, especially in the winter and that towns and cities are closer together.

What is the culture like? How are the temperatures in the summer? How is the humidity and allergens? What about finding a job? Also, I have my associates, but I am working towards my BA, do you think it will be easy to transfer (Im majoring in Special Ed)? Any insight would be great

Whats better for beaches? Florida or california? We are looking to going on vacation next summer. Or, does anybody know of a better beach in another state?

I'm traveling with a friend to Dallas over Labor Day weekend to see if it's a place I could live. There has to be something to do over that weekend! What do you Texans do during the day for fun? We're not much for clubbing, but if you know of any nice restaurants let me know. We're staying downtown at the Hyatt and debating whether to get a car or not. Help!

I am relocating to Seattle for work. I will be working out of my house and traveling throughout the Seattle area, so I do not need to live anywhere specific. My first reaction is to live downtown. I want to be near the night life, restaurants, etc., and also in a safe area. I'd prefer not to live too far from the water either.

I need a 1 BR + den or 2BR apartment, and cannot pay over $1500/month. I need help on figuring out where to live.

Do you have any suggestions? Please detail out why you are suggesting a certain neighborhood rather than just telling me "Belltown" or whatever.

My husband and I are going to Aurora actually for school, and we have found an apt for a 6 mo lease only - that would be good to get him done with his last semester. There is also a nice 3 br house. We could take the house, but I feel this would be more perm... and I was thinking maybe what if we don't like Denver? My bro is in Colorado Springs and says we would love it there...

Do you think we should take the temp 6 mo housing - though it seems a bit run down (it's by Aurora mall and I keep hearing bad things about the area) and just wait out the 6 mos, or settle into the nicer side of Aurora for a year or more?

We are moving from Vegas, have 1 son (7 yo), and have never been to Co.

We are moving in about 5 weeks.
