A really cool place that i go is Outer Banks, North Carolina. I got a house on a place called Ocracoke for $1000 for week (off season). You can drive on the beach, you can get a tour of the area for like $175. Food and gas and ever thing cost me $500. So the whole trip was less than $2000. If you go there you will have lots of fun!!! Also Ocracoke was voted as number 3 beach in America!!!!!!!

Vietnam is biking paradise, untouched for a century. Northeast and northwest are great discoveries of ethnic people. Or kayaking in Halong Bay, relax on China beach, Phu Quoc beach. Lots of videos and photos on trafest.com. Have fun.

Nashville TN has tons of fun stuff to do- historic plantations to tour, civil war sites, hiking, canoeing, camping, a symphony, lots of theater, of course plenty of country music and honky tonks, the Cumberland River and 2 big lakes, and every season is beautiful.

It is hard to answer when you want to keep expences down but do not say where you live. If you live in Cal. why not do a camping trip with a friend.
