A lot of that depends on what you want and time of year you're going.

Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, Alabama are known for being family friendly with lots of stuff for the kids. They're also touristy.

Panama City/Destin would likely fit this description as well, but are also known as big spring break party towns.

Fort Morgan in Alabama (near OB/Gulf Shores) is more out of the way and quieter.

Seaside and Grayton Beach in Florida are a little more trendy type towns with art galleries and such.

The Emerald coast of Florida from Panama City to Fort Walton are beautiful sandy White beaches and Emerald color surf.

I'm not sure where the cut off line is for Florida, but Siesta Key is located just south of Tampa. I'm not sure if that too far south for you, but that beach is wonderful. Sugar white sand, no rocks or shells, and clear blue water.

Daytona Beach is good.
Or if you like the party scene for the young go to any beach near Tampa/Clearwater. They are rockin all night long. I am older but I have been there and seen it with my own eyes. It was wild.

you desire a map... and be sure what kind of sea you choose so see...Baja California is a competent techniques..there are a number of seashores in small cities that are no longer touristic.. the caribbean is crowded 1st, by using fact is attractive.. yet Cancun is in basic terms a sea coast.. there are a number of many seashores to stay faraway from the group... back..Jalisco State has many sturdy seashores too it relies upon of your funds...there are some hidden paradises...you will locate from a million* to 5* throughout Mexico..sturdy success

I would suggest 3 places.

1. Seaside, Fl- neat town great beaches--can be pricey...might stay in Seagrove and it is cheaper but very close

2. Ft Morgan, AL---very peaceful and cheap
3. Sanibel, FL- beach ---best shells in the world
