Are these people a fraud?
I signed up to win this contest for a trip to Las Vegas. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

You have to be careful they may be a fraud and may not. If they ask for social, record, bank statements, credit cards right off the bat, its a good chance they are. They may also just be getting you to buy a time share, which really isnt worth it. Be careful of what you do because these have been know to be big fraud gets.

I would advise against attending this type of event. If you are a very even tempered person that doesn't crack under pressure, go for it. They will grill the hell out of you and try to have you invest in a timeshare that you may never afford. For example, I went to Vegas with an ex-girlfriend back in 2003 and we received 2 free nights at a hotel (not a great one either) just to hear their deal (At Belz Outlet Mall). We were both poor and they were trying to sell us a $200,000 timeshare. How in the world would two college students be able to afford that? Long story short, they never took No for an answer. We became rude and it ended at that. It wasted half a day in Vegas that we could have been having fun instead.

Happens all the time
Was this Tahiti Village.
You can go ... I went to Cape Cod for a weekend with the ex similar. It was a time share presentation. We did not take the time share but it was a nice free vacation.
Go for it.

They will sit you down for up to 2 hours and force you to watch a very high pressure presentation on buying into the time share.

It is not a fraud...i did it before and got a free cruise...these things are nuts...they are very boring, and easily put you to sleep...it may be worth it for some people, but for even a free cruise, definitely not
