United States - December 2006

Actually I am from San Francisco, but I am bringing my Italian boyfriend there for the first time. I feel overwhelmed with options for a first time visitor. What would you recommend besides the touristy Fisherman's Wharf and Chinatown? Any hip nightclubs, bars or restaurants (I haven't been out in a while though only 32)? I want to show him the best of my city without boring him with tourist attractions. Thanks so much.

I've already tried Highway 80 about a month ago. It was pretty hilly and this time I'm towing a trailer as well. I'm looking for the least hilly or lowest elevation into California.....not at all worried about which way is the quickest. Highway 15? Highway 40? Some other smaller highway? I also don't even want to have to think about putting chains on my tires...I'd rather drive a little longer.

My boyfriend and I have decided instead of buying xmas gifts for each other that we are going to go away for the weekend. We live in Maine, and want to stay in New England. We are going to to in January, and just for 2-3 days. Something romantic and inexpensive.

Married couple, early 30's, with a 1 year old child. Want to live in the city to reduce commute time. Our next choice will be living in Naperville, but we'd like to consider our options in the city. Looking for a family vacation in AZ this winter. We already live here (in Tucson) and have seen much of the "must sees." Thinking of renting an RV. Our group consists of two couples, avg age 30, ranging in occupation from goat farmer to body piercer. We'll be in Philly Sunday 12/10 and Monday 12/11. The plan, and I use that word loosely, for Sunday is to meet for lunch at Jim's Steaks, hit the Mutter Museum for a few hours, eat dinner at Ludwig's Garten, and see the Christmas Lights Show. Monday will have breakfast from Isgro bakery, shopping and lunch at Reading Terminal Market and a meal somewhere before we part company. (I've got lots of eateries picked out as options, not planned things.) What else should we do?

I still find it incredible that today's generation will grow up and never know the NY skyline when the Twin Towers were in it.
I actually went up one of them.
I have not had the opportunity to return, but find it incredible that they are no longer there.

I'm 21, and am going out to vegas in mid march... I was wondering what would be the best hotel for the value, or if their are any promo codes to any of the hotel/casinos out there? I have been out there before, and I know of the hotels to be avoided (sahara, circus circus, stratosphere). Me and my roommate are just looking to save some cash where we can.
