When I go to Walt Disney World I always buy tickets with the Park Hopper Option. You'd think there's enough to do at each of the parks to keep you occupied for a day, but that's not necessarily true. The Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT are huge and can easily take a full day or even two, but Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and the Disney (MGM) Studios can usually be done in half a day. Also, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is only open until 5:00 or 6:00 on most days, so after that what is there to do? If you have the Park Hopper Option you can visit another park that evening. Plus, with the Extra Magic Hours sometimes the parks can be open as late as 2:00AM. If you want to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours then you'd have to visit that Park all day, but with the Park Hopper Option you could go to any of the parks, stay until they close, and then go to the park with the Extra Magic Hours. Another thing, I like to dine at all the wonderful restaurants at Walt Disney World. If I went to the Disney Studios during the afternoon I may like to go to EPCOT to eat at one of the wonderful restaurants at the World Showcase, and I can easily do that with the Park Hopper Option. There's a lot of advantages to having the Park Hopper Option. Some people find that they don't need the Park Hopper Option, though. If you're traveling with young children and know you won't be out very late then it may be best to stick with the plain base tickets. If you plan on leaving any of the theme parks by 5:00 or 6:00 then it's not worth it to add the Park Hopper Option. But for me, someone who likes to take advantage of their stay at Walt Disney World and do as much as possible, and is staying there for a week or longer, then it's worth it to get the Park Hopper Option.
Hope I could help!
* To Amy Hughes - with a regular base ticket you can go to a park, go back to your Resort, and return in the same day. You don't need the Park Hopper Option to do that, only if you want to go to a different park after you go back to the Resort.

Depends on if you have been there before or have children. If you have children then you may take more time at one park. Also if you are going just to look and not ride many rides you may want to just go to one park a day. If you have been to the parks before and you know what you want to ride then it is much easier to get a hopper pass. This way you can go ride the rides you want at one park and then move right on to the next park to ride the ones you want there. With the hopper pass you can basically do all you want at one park move on and then go back and do it again!

It depends on how long you are going to be in Florida visiting the Disney parks for one. Two it's cheaper when you buy the whole package, instead of just seeing these parks individually. Last, some of the parks are less crowded at a certain time of day and you can skip back and forth to get to the things you want to see without the long lines if you plan it out right.
Also some people get sick of spending all day at one park only. A fresh park can bring fresh energy for new sights.

Park hopper pass is the best option for tickets in my opinion. Yes there is enough to do in one day but don't you want variety for your vacation?? I know we always stay on Disney property and its nice to go to Magic Kingdom in the morning and then head out to Epcot at night for dinner and the firework show. This allows flexiblity for your vacation. You aren't stuck at only 1 park per day. If you are Disney newcomer its easy to think there isn't advantages but to us who return there again and again know that the park hopper pass is simply the best choice for a great Disney experience.

It all depends on when your going to the parks. My family is going Christmas week. If one park is too crowded you can hop to another park.
Can you spend a full day at Animal Kingdom? We can knock out Animal Kingdom in half a day. What we'll do is, around 2:00 we'll go back to our hotel, The Boardwalk. We'll have a nice lunch and then hop to EPCOT for the fireworks show or to see the Christmas precessional. Then walk back and spend the rest of the evening on the Boardwalk.
Maybe we'll stop by the ESPN club and get some wings for my two boys?
When you hop, its all in the planning of your day.
I hope this was helpful. I'm typing this up and I can't WAIT to be there in 16 days!

The Park Hopper option at Disney World offers guests the ability to go from one park to another on the same day. I find it helpful because I can eat my way through all of the good restaurants in one day and not have to pay for two separate tickets. Furthermore, I can ride all of the exciting rides *in one day*.

Depends on what parks the pass is for, and for how many days. We used to get a three day pass to Busch Gardens and Water Country in Virginia. We would go to Water Country during the day, then go to Busch in the evening. This was much cheaper than buying a one-day pass to each park on different days. Most multi-park passes are also multi-day, and are cheaper, so that is also a major advantage.

The advantages to the Park Hopper is to come and go as you please. It is great if you have kids, they need naps etc. You can leave go back to the hotel, swim rest and returnn recharged in the evening when everyone else is leaving! I have found this schedule to be most effective. If you push your kids too hard during the day they will snap, I used to work there and saw may parnts fighting, kids screaming etc around 12-2. So, take a breather, go look at the hotels. Come back at night when it is cooler. The lines are shorter and the park is basically yours!

i don't buy the park hopper option, i do buy the dining plan because you will save a fortune. there is plenty to do at each park. the advantages would be you could leave and go to any park or re-enter if you have forgot anything before going home as many times as you want.

I'm going for 5days for Christmas , i wasn't going to get the park hopper , but my mom told me with kids its a good idea b/c they need some down time to nap, i can go all day and night , but my son is still little 4yrs old first time going. but if your not going with kids then u can use the park hopper for fun and rides during the day , and go to dinner at Epcot they have some beautiful places to have a quiet dinner.
