Random question I know, brought about by spending too much time looking at Google Earth. I noticed Buffalo is a large city right on the Canadian border and suddenly wondered do people live on one side of the border and cross to go to work, shopping etc. Living in a border town myself (Republic of Ireland on border with Northern Ireland) I and lots of people do and think nothing of it. Almost like living in the same country.
I'm sure later I'll be wondering why I asked this but hope for some answers.

Ok i'm moving to West Virginina in about three months or so.I'm from Minnesota and I'm scaried to move their.Because I heard their's not much to do,jobs are bad etc.
I want to know the REAL story who lived their,do you like it?What schools are the best their?Where are their affordable and nice housing to rent?What are good neightboorhoods?Things to do with kids?Good schools for kids etc.

We've finally decided on where we're going for Christmas - Vegas! Bc it will be cold and windy and we won't be renting a car, I just want to make sure we are staying near all the action--inexpensive shows and restaurants and stuff. So should we stay downtown or on the strip, or is there not really a difference? I know some casinos have free shuttles, but if we don't stay at one of those places, what's the next best transportation mode around downtown, the strip, and between the two? (We'd rather not walk in the cold!)
Also, do you recommend any dance clubs, and how can we get free or cheap admission?
Are there any reasonably priced hotels with hot tub rooms? So far I've looked into the Golden Nugget, which fits those specifications. Any others?

I'm surprising my husband with a vacation to the Florida Keys, a spot he's always wanted to visit. Is it best to stay in the "historic" areas, or regular condos? Also, would it be best to fly to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale and drive or just fly straight in to the Keys? Any other spots to see while there?
