Ok i'm moving to West Virginina in about three months or so.I'm from Minnesota and I'm scaried to move their.Because I heard their's not much to do,jobs are bad etc.
I want to know the REAL story who lived their,do you like it?What schools are the best their?Where are their affordable and nice housing to rent?What are good neightboorhoods?Things to do with kids?Good schools for kids etc.
I'm Moving to the panhandle of WV where Martinsburg,Bunkerhill etc is! Thanks for you answers and happy holidays ;)

With the exception of about 1.5 years, I have lived in WV (Putnam and Cabell counties) my entire life (20 years). As a whole, it is a pretty depressing place to live. The job market is very sluggish and there is very little in the way of activities (unless you like hiking, rock climbing, and other outdoorsy things). You are in luck, though, becuase the area in which you are moving is the fastest growing in the state, and is home to the most highly educated West Virginians. The eastern panhandle is quickly becoming a suburb of Washington DC, and as a result, is home to higher than average (relative to WV) housing prices.

all i know about wv is that it is not a good place to speed thru. i thought it was really pretty country tho.
