Our group consists of two couples, avg age 30, ranging in occupation from goat farmer to body piercer. We'll be in Philly Sunday 12/10 and Monday 12/11. The plan, and I use that word loosely, for Sunday is to meet for lunch at Jim's Steaks, hit the Mutter Museum for a few hours, eat dinner at Ludwig's Garten, and see the Christmas Lights Show. Monday will have breakfast from Isgro bakery, shopping and lunch at Reading Terminal Market and a meal somewhere before we part company. (I've got lots of eateries picked out as options, not planned things.) What else should we do?

The Mutter Museum should not take you more than an 1 1/2 hours. You should go to the Consitution Center and all the historic buildings near 5th and market. You also might want to go to Antiques Row (Pine Street from 12th -8th streets) or maybe take the tour at the State Penitentary (22nd and Fairmount Ave) One last thing that you have to do is go to the Art Museum.... it is one of the best Museums with a wide array of art from different time periods. Good Luck... I hope you enjoy your stay!

Independence Hall & The Liberty Bell are good.
I like the Betsy Ross house, personally.

If you can, fit the Franklin Institute in there somewhere. You will love the Mutter Musuem! I would forget going to the giant clothespin, there's nothing there but that and a few homeless people.
