My favorite landmark is no longer there, only my memory of it.
Who ever gave this a thumbs down is a real pile of crap. I was referring to the World Trade Center. Your ignorance is something to be ashamed of.

there are several for me, Mt Rushmore, Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Statue of Liberty, The old executive office building in DC as well as the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. The old North Church in Boston. The giant buffalo in Jamestown ND and the statue of Paul Bunyan & Babe in Bemidji MN were also quite memorable.

I found this book "Roadside Americana" also useful, but MT Rushmore is my favorite.
