My husband and I are going to Maui for a week in November and are looking for good restaurants. Preferably nothing chain-related, we want real local fare. Thanks!

I got engaged in August and just moved in with my fiance. He has told me we can get married when, how & wherever I want so everything is basically up to me. We each have 2 teenagers and they all live with us. 3 of the 4 teens (girls) are adamant about wanting to be in the wedding and not wanting us to elope. I suspect their main concern is getting to wear a cool dress! I really just want to elope or get married by the JP and take a cool honeymoon. We have both been married before. Having a wedding here brings up all kinds of stressful issues, like both of are ex's would probably want to attend, trying to keep it small but too many people that would be offended if they are not invited....
So.....any good suggestions???

looking for a chic hotel (i.e. Gansevoort, 60 Thompson, Mercer) in NYC convenient to getting to the Chrysler Building (so anyware on the green metro line is ok) under $500 a night.
I've never been to New York personally so this is proving to be very difficult!

My wife just retired from teaching second graders in a public school. This is our first time trying to find a place to stay in the winter. I own a computer company and can work from anywhere as long as I have high speed internet connection (at the very least Verizon wireless). We have 2 15 pound Dachshunds. Would like to keep weekly bill under $600 and want to stay anywhere from 2-6 weeks. Have not yet decided how long we want to stay. Hotels seem too confining. Cabins seem nice but what about high speed internet connections.
