I would say the weather and the beaches. But I like NY better... I've lived in NY for 5 years. Love it! Beautiful scenery and the changing seasons is nice too. It really depends on where you live, NYC is definetly busy, but upstate isnt.
I've been to CA several times, it's nice to visit but I wouldnt live there. Too expensive!

Sure Cali has the weather and beaches but that is about it. People are what makes a place special, and the majority of californians are self righteous idiots. i spend alot of time in cali but would never want to live there. too much traffic, pollution, crime......
