Um, yeah! There's a lot of must-sees! Especially if it's your first time going...

Disney's Animal Kingdom Park:

Primeval Whirl- It looks kind of lamb, but it's lots of fun. It's a mild roller coaster and the vehicle spins on the track. And if you go when the Park first opens, there's pretty much no line.

DINOSAUR- This ride's awesome. It's fun and scary, and worth any wait-time.

Expedition Everest- One of the newest rides, and obviously one of the best. This is such a great roller coaster. It goes forwards, backwards, in the dark, and you see the Yeti! The wait-time will probably be really long unless you get there right when the Park opens, but it's definitely worth it. You can't miss this ride.

Kali River Rapids- This ride is so fun, and perfect if it's hot and you'd like to cool down. You're guaranteed to get wet, most likely soaked.

Maharajah Jungle Trek- See tigers, Komodo dragons, giant bats, a giant tapir, and other exotic animals. Don't miss any of the animal exhibits/viewing areas!

Flights of Wonder- I saw this when we went last summer (we didn't have time for it during our trip this summer,) and it was pretty cool. It's a basically a bird show. It's not very long, like 20 minutes, or something. There's all kinds of tropical birds and some of them do tricks. People from the audience are involved in certain acts, too.

Pangani Forest Exploration Trail- Here, you'll see all kinds of tropical fish, Nile hippos, and gorillas! The hippo area is cool, you can see them under water through the glass.

Kilimanjaro Safaris- You have to go on this ride, it's one of the highlights of Walt Disney World! You'll see all kinds of animals on an African savannah, like lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, ostriches, rhinos, etc. It's a lot of fun, and you'll want to bring one whole roll of film. You get pretty close to some of the animals, like the elephants. It's awesome.

Festival of the Lion King- I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard its' great. Judging by the video clips I've seen, it seems to be one of the best shows at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Discovery Island Trails- Here, you can see Galapagos tortoises, lemurs, cotton-top tamarin monkeys, and other animals.

It's Tough to be a Bug- One of the best 3-D shows at the Walt Disney World Resort! I saw it for my first time this summer and loved it! The walk around the Tree of Life is great, and then the show is actually in the base of the tree! The theater and show is so cute!

Finding Nemo: The Musical- This may not be open when you go, but it may be. If it is, go. I'm sure it'll be great, and it's only a half an hour long.

Rainforest Cafe- This restaurant is right near the entrance to the Park, and you can enter it from outside of or inside the Park. If you decide to eat out while at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, eat here. It has the best food of all the restaurants at the Park! The food is awesome, and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Disney-MGM Studios:

Fantasmic!- This is a can't-miss. At night, you have to go to this show. It usually starts around 9:00. It's an incredible pyrotechnic show! Mickey battles all the Disney villains. There's a huge snake and a giant fire-breathing dragon.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror- You won't want to skip out on this, but it is really scary! It's also lots of fun, though, of course. Definitely worth any wait in line.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith- This is one of my favorite rides at Walt Disney World! It's an indoor roller coaster. It's in the dark, but there's all kinds of neon lights inside. The take-off is crazy! It's so much fun! You go so fast, and you go upside down!

Disney-MGM Studios Backlot Tour- I always forget this is here! I always miss the attractions in the back of this Park, and this is one of the fun attractions.

The Great Movie Ride- This ride is pretty fun, and there's really not many rides at Disney-MGM Studios, so you may as well do them all. Especially this one! Go through famous movie scenes, and your tour guide becomes part of the movies.

Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show- All guys, as well as girls, will love this attraction. It's an awesome, insane stunt show, in from DisneyLand Paris. I've seen it twice and it's still incredible. You can easily use up a whole roll of film at this show, or, if you have it, bring a video camera.

Muppet Vision 3-D- Another great 3-D show. I'm sad, I've missed it the last two times I've been!

Star Tours- If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll definitely want to go on this ride. You should go on it either way, though. I haven't been on it in a long time.

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!- You doesn't love Indiana Jones? It's like watching one of his movies live! You can feel the fire from the explosions! It's great! Arrive a little early so you can get a good seat. They fill up quick!

Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano- This is my favorite restaurant at the Disney-MGM Studios, but I haven't eaten at them all. This place serves fantastic Italian food, and the restaurant is gorgeous!

Epcot:

Spaceship Earth- This is one of my favorite Disney rides! It's a classic, and right at the entrance of Epcot, so if you get there when the Park opens, go on this ride first, there will be no wait, literally. It's a 16-minute ride through the Geosphere, and there's all kinds of awesome Audio-Animatronics.

The Living Seas- There's an aquarium with sharks, sea turtles, sting rays, dolphins, fish, etc. You can even take a tour and go swimming in the aquarium! We tried the Seas Aqua Tour, it was incredible!

Living With the Land- This ride may seem boring, but it's not. And it's pretty popular.

Soarin'- This ride is extremely popular, and no surprise, it's amazing! You have to ride it and experince it yourself!

Ellen's Energy Adventure- I love this ride. The vehicles are huge. Ellen's so funny, and Bill Nye, too.

Mission: SPACE- This ride is awesome, and quite intense! They've made a second version, though, and it's less intense.

Test Track- Everyone loves this ride! It's the best! You go really fast and go through all kinds of road tests. It's so much fun! Another one of my favorites, and you can't miss it!

El Rio del Tiempo- This ride is in the temple at the Mexico Pavilion. It's really cool. A boat ride through the temple, a restaurant (San Angel Inn,) and there's a volcano! It's very pretty and relaxing.

Maelstrom- This is at the Norway Pavilion, and it's another boat ride. This one's a little more fast-paced, though. It's also a lot of fun!

Illuminations: Reflections of Earth- A phenomenal fireworks/pyrotechnics show! You have to see it and see some of Disney's latest, most impressive technology- the Earth Globe.

Magic Kingdom:

Pirates of the Caribbean- Another boat ride, and a disney classic. This ride is always fun, and it's recently been updated. Now, there's a Johnny Depp pirate character! It's kind of funny. It's an Audio-Animatronic, so it looks very life-like.

Splash Mountain- I still haven't been on this yet, and I don't know why. The line's always either too long or I don't feel like getting wet. It's a great ride, though! Very popular, and another classic.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad- This is a really fun roller coaster, but there's no big hills, or anything like that. It's a somewhat mild roller coaster, but it's awesome.

The Haunted Mansion- This is a must. A Disney classic, and who wouldn't want to see REAL ghosts? You'll definitely want to go on this ride. It never gets old, and every time you ride, you notice something new.

Mickey's Philhar Magic- This is definitely the best 3-D show at Walt Disney World! We didn't have time for it this past time, unfortunately, but I loved it when I saw for the first time last summer.

Mad Tea Party- This ride is actually pretty fun, even if you're not a little kid. My boyfriend and I enjoy it. You can spin it yourself, so you can go slow or really fast.

Space Mountain- This is another great roller coaster. It's kind of like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, but in the dark. I love this ride, everyone does!

The Carousel of Progress- This is a rotating show of Audio-Animatronics. It's very popular, a Disney classic, and a favorite attraction of mine.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin- This ride is great, especially for couples. It's meant for two people. It's not just a ride but a competition. You try to shoot as many of the bulls-eyes as possible and get the most points. My boyfriend always beats me.

Wishes Nighttime Spectacular- An incredible, amazing fireworks/pyrotechnics show at the Magic Kingdom, at Cinderella Castle.

Of course, you may not have time to see all of these attractions, but do as much as you can in the time you're there. You won't want to miss anything!

Have a great vacation!

In addition to all the above, you might also enjoy Downtown Disney.
There they have DisneyQuest, which is three floors of interactive and video games. The admission price includes all games, so you can play your heart out all day.

There is also Cirque du Soliel, which we didn't see, but I hear these shows are great.

There are alot of shops, but the most interesting one (to us) was the Lego store. Outside they have life-size Lego figures all around, and there are stations with Legos that your kid can play with.
There was also a big Toy store and a Virgin records store, several others I can't recall right offhand.

There's also lots of eating places. We ate at McDonald's, so nothing special to report about that.

But we spent a whole day at Downtown Disney, and had a good time.

my advice to you would be to go to your local bookstore and purchase a good guidebook. this will give you a bit of an idea of the things you might see.

don't try to see everything at once, it really helps to have a bit of a game plan ahead of time. when you enter the parks pick up a guidemap. (each park has their own and they are free) actually, you can get them almost anywhere at the park (in the stores) , but if you get one when you first enter, you can take a few minutes and set a rough plan. (but be flexible, you never know what wonders you might stumble upon that are not listed on the maps!)

Have a great trip!

Just remember- you will never see everything in one trip! Focus on the big things and considering your child's age save plenty of time for characters (if he/she is into it).

Pick up a good book (I like Bierbaum's). Also if you have time... look for hidden mickey's- there are hidden mickey heads in a lot of the artwork, and even in the rides!!!

No matter what you will have fun! Enjoy!

The character buffet in the Crystal Palace. The food is really good and the kids really get wonderful attention from the characters.
