Which Woodbury? People are giving you answers both about the Woodbury that's in Orange County, in the Hudson Valley, and about a Woodbury that's on Long Island. They're in opposite directions - one is east of the city, one is west

What Woodbury do you mean?

You'd take the LIRR if you're on Long Island

You'd be riding NJ Transit, aka "metro-north west" if you mean the place in Orange County (with the Woodbury Commons mall)

don't take the wrong train line just b/c there are two villages with the same name!

First, you'll have to get to Hoboken Terminal in Jersey. From Penn, walk a block east to the PATH station, and take a PATH train to Hoboken Terminal.

NJTransit/Metro North jointly operate the Port Jervis Line; that's the line you want. You go about 45 miles, or 1 hour five minutes, to the Harriman station.

There is a shuttle bus to Woodbury Commons from the train station.

Last I knew, service on this rail line was limited to rush hours, so check with Metro-North before you set out.

From Penn station, take the LIRR to Syosset. You can take a cab from Syosset to the Fox Hollow Inn (about 5min drive). You should probably do an internet search for the cab phone number.

The Syosset Train station is the closest to Woodbury.....wonder if the Woodbury Commons is still there.
