I am going to Las Vegas and I was wondering has anyone recently stayed at the Imperial Palace since it was renovated and how was the stay? Any specific details? The hotel claims it was renovated in 2006.

Hey,

I know that summers in Dallas are very hot... but I'd like to know if that heat is the dry, desert-like heat with the low humidity

or the humid heat that makes you sweat like hell?

What can I expect to pay for a family of 5? Can I go on less than $4,000 for a week? I don't want to skimp but I can't afford to just splurge either. When is the best time to go? What are some of the best places to visit? I have 3 girls. They will be 11 & 15 when we go. How long should we stay? Where should we Stay?

Ok, so I have talked to a lot of people about my desire to move out to LA, but everyone tells me the people out on southern California (especially LA) are really materialistic. Now, I have heard of the stereotype about people from SoCal, but I never really thought it was true, but everyone seems to think so. Is this true? LA, for all its glamour and wealth, seems like its also a city full of all types of people, rich and poor, black and white, etc...which has made me always sort of dismiss the stereotype as applying to maybe like 10 percent of the population out there. Anybody have any general ideas about people in LA and southern California? I know that not all people fit one description, but is materialism really that obvious?
