If where to go on holiday to the u.s. but decide to stay there,and not use your return ticket,would you get in trouble.Say you stayed for over 3 months.I`m not going to do this or anything,i`m just interested.

if you overstay your visit (according to how long your visa is good for) you will have lots of problems when you do decide to leave the US. Your passport will be stamped and you will NEVER be able to reapply to enter the US again. If you just dont leave, if they catch you, then you will be deported and banned from re entering. Not worth the risk

Yes. If you want to stay for 3 months or more, you need a visa. If you overstayed for over 3 months and were caught, you would be immediately deported and banned from reentering the U.S. for at least several years.

If you're visiting the US and overstay your visa, then yes, you're going to get into trouble. By doing that, you've made yourself one of the well known "illegals". Why in the world would you want to even think about it especially nowadays with so much attention focused on the illegals? You will become suspect and probably your activities will be monitored.

Yes, it would be trouble if you come to the US only for travel or for visit purposes. Staying over than the time limits, either your airplane ticket or your permission to enter the US, will classify you as illegal alien and probably will be prosecuted according to the laws.

I think you'll get into trouble. When I visited the USA a couple of years back, we had to sign a form on the plane, to promise that you wouldn't stay longer than 3 months, or that you weren't a criminal, etc.

Well when you fill out a visa don't you have to put a date on it. Therefore they will know when you should have arrived back. I think a visa is valid for about three months then you need permission to stay longer.

You would definitely get in trouble. You would be considered an illegal alien, and would raise serious suspicions as to why you chose not to return to your country. Most people would be suspicious of somebody even asking that question...

If one overstays their visa, then you would be an illegal and yes, you would get in trouble.
Why break the rules and have that kind of stuff following you for the rest of your life?

They might place you in the Jail and we all know what can happen in Jail.
