Nahimana - made the bulk of our money during the current BUSH years! Been on over a dozen great vacations in the last 5 years. I have never been to Hawaii and I intend to enjoy it thanks.

Get a helicopter ride over the island of Maui. It's absolutely breath-taking. The water falls are awesome. Take your digital camera, and laptop (to download your pictures each night) Go to a Lu oue, and eat fresh pineapple sold on the side of the road. Trust me. It's all good. Also visit Pearl Harbor. And spend plenty of time on the beach at night. Beautiful white sand. Wish I could go again.

There are lots of gorgeous places in Hawaii, and the food is wonderful too, but the best thing about Hawaii is the people. They're friendly, open, gracious, hospitable. If I were you I would try to get to know some local people while I was there, so you can see Hawaii from their point of view.
Aloha!

If going to Oahu, visit the Polynesian Cultural Center. You'll get great exposure to traditional Hawaiian culture and be invited to a Luau feast at the end of the day.

It really depends on which island. Oahu is like a big mainland city, Hawaii & Maui are very nice and Kauai is the most relaxing for us. Here is one of many resources to help you plan.

Depends on which islands your on. On Oahu take a tour to Hanama bay. It has got crowded over the years but still worth it!
On the big island you need to see the volcanos.

The first thing you need to do is pick an island then ask again. You'll get a much better answer.
I have two friends who are going to Maui so I posted something on my blog for them.

On your vacation in Hawaii you should dress up in your unisex swim suits and go surf board riding on one of the exotic lava flows and use your Bush blood money to pay for all your neo-nut buddies to go surfing with you! Alohahahahahahahahaha!
