Hey,

I know that summers in Dallas are very hot... but I'd like to know if that heat is the dry, desert-like heat with the low humidity

or the humid heat that makes you sweat like hell?

Its hot as a firecracker, but not too humid most of the time. Not desert dry but dryer than many places. Humidity level comparable with Los Angeles. Average highs in the summer is 96 and average highs are in the 90's from early may to mid september.

Depends on the summer, but it's mostly a dry heat.

In fact this year, we had so little rain over the summer, it was pretty much a dry heat all summer.

Definitely not like the humidity up north or in Houston.

Hot and humid. You can expect at least a few days above 100 degrees every summer. And it's not the dry heat.

I moved from Arizona to Dallas in 1990. It was the first time in my life I had ever heard of 100% humidity. Stayed 6 months and moved back to Arizona 115 degrees and dry as dust

Sticky, sweaty hot. Very humid but a really cool city to visit. Check out the West End and Deep Ellem.

It's the sweat like hell kind of heat. Definitely nothing desert-like about it! But it hasn't been too hot the past couple of weeks - under 100 for once.

truthfully, it will be different all summer. It could be 104 one day and 88 another. It's Texas and the weather is very fickle. Most of the time it is more towards the dry heat, but with a little bit of humidity.
I hope that helps,.
