Baltimore is a cool town. The Harbor area is really nice with plenty of restaurants and nightlife. The aquarium is one of the best in the world. its really close to D.C. and not to far from the beach and Philly.but if you're looking for big city life, look to New York or Boston, much more to do with better sports..
